Snacks That Make The Grade
Everybody snacks! Young children, students, parents and teachers will often eat between meals. Snacks can be fun and healthy, it just depends on what foods you choose. Healthy snack choices should come from the four food groups in " Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating". Think of healthy snacks as mini meals, so vary the snack sent each day.
Choose snacks that pack a lot of nutrition. Old favourites like veggie sticks, fresh fruit, cheese cubes, crackers and yoghurt make wonderful economical snacks. The suggestions below are also healthy snack choices that are easy to add to school lunch bags.
